This was made for Sykoo's Retro Game Jam (https://itch.io/jam/polyrealm-game-jam) and as such it's quite unfinished, and there's a lack of polish. I'd only planned the AI to work on the test level, so further levels just add more enemies. There aren't lose or win screens, you just start the level over if you lose, or if you win the last level. 

The game it recreates is called Flicky, it's a platformer released in Arcades and on the Sega Genesis about a bird called Flicky rescuing her baby chicks and avoiding "Tigers" (common housecats, basically). Later stages in the original game have "Iggys" (Iguanas) but I didn't have time to program those.

I had some university assignments that meant I couldn't give this game jam my full attention, but I hope you can still have a bit of fun with it! :)

=== Objective ===

The goal is to pick up the little yellow chicks (called "Chirps") and carry them to the exit door, while avoiding the orange cats (called "Tigers"). The Tigers can kill Flicky instantly, so be careful! (Though, there's not much of a penalty for death). If the Tiger collides with the Chirps following Flicky, they'll get knocked off and you'll have to go back to collect them again. Once you've got all the Chirps to the exit door, the game will progress to the next level (currently this just adds a new Tiger to the room). In the original game you got a much higher score when exiting with a large Chirp trail, so try to take them all to the exit in 1 trip (even though there isn't really a lot of incentive, sorry haha)
